Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 4, 2026
CoopCodes (“CoopCodes,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates coopcodes.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use coopcodes.com (the “Site”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us
We collect information you submit through forms on the Site, including:
- Newsletter & change-alert sign-ups: your first name, email address, and the city/state you ask us to track.
- “Request your city” submissions: your name, email, and the city and state you want added.
- Hatchery listing claims: the claimant’s name, title, and business email address, used to verify ownership of a hatchery listing.
- Error reports: the message you send about a listing, and your email address if you choose to provide one.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our analytics providers automatically collect standard usage information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, and interactions with the Site. We use cookies and similar technologies to enable this. This includes:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — aggregate traffic and usage measurement.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — measurement and, if we run ads, ad attribution.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) — analytics that may include session recordings and heatmaps capturing interactions like clicks, scrolls, and mouse movement to help us understand how the Site is used. Clarity masks text you type into form fields by default. See Microsoft’s Clarity documentation.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies: Google, Meta, and Microsoft.
How we use your information
- Deliver the newsletter and notify you when a tracked city’s ordinance changes.
- Respond to your requests, error reports, and hatchery listing claims.
- Operate, maintain, measure, and improve the Site and its content.
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, abuse, or fraud.
- Comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, and only as needed to run the Site:
- GoHighLevel — email/CRM platform that stores newsletter and alert sign-ups and sends our emails.
- Supabase — database hosting for Site data.
- Vercel — Site hosting and delivery.
- Google, Meta, and Microsoft — analytics and measurement, as described above.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of CoopCodes, our users, or the public. If we’re involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
Cookies and your choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of some analytics through the providers above (for example, the Google Analytics opt-out). Many browsers support a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we honor where required. Blocking cookies may affect some Site features.
Third-party links and affiliate relationships
The Site links to third-party websites, including hatcheries and product retailers. Some of these are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party sites; their policies govern your interactions with them.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights:
- California (CCPA/CPRA): rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
- EU/UK (GDPR): rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to certain processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@coopcodes.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Data retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be reflected on this page.
